REGULATIONS for the IMPORTATION of
PLANT and ANIMAL PRODUCTS

 1. Any Plant or Animal Product will be confiscated if they are not accompanied by:

    an import permit
    a phytosanitary certificate
    an animal health certificate
    other necessary documents

 2. Agricultural items will also be refused entry into St. Lucia is they are:

    prohibited by the laws of this country
    in poor health condition, i.e. infected by pests and diseases
    contaminated by soil

 3. Trade in other threatened plants and animals is also protected because of the threat of extinction. These are protected by the laws of the Convention of International-Trade in Endangered Species (CITIES). These include:
 

Ferns

Cacti

Orchids

Parrots

Turtles

Black Coral

Tigers

Whales

Boa
Constrictors

 4. There are also non-agricultural items which are subject to quarantine regulations and procedures.

    Vehicles ( new and old)
    privately owned
    heavy machinery
    farm machinery
    tractors
    earth moving equipment

 5. Household Goods
 6.  Containers
 7.  Articles from Straw or Weeds
 8.  Logs, Lumber, Woodcrafting
 9.  Cork Bark
 10. Dunnage
